About the Asian American Coalition:
The Asian American Coalition is a coalition of Asian American community organizations based in the metropolitan Chicago area. Its members are dedicated to working together to address the needs and concerns of the Asian American community and to educate others about this diverse community. Each year, the Asian American Coalition organizes an annual Lunar New Year Celebration and other events which provide community groups and their leaders with an opportunity to build bridges and experience working with other segments of the community. The Asian American Coalition serves as a catalyst that brings together Chicago's diverse Asian American population, promotes Asian American cooperation and unity, stimulates Asian American community leadership, and reminds Asian Americans to be proud of their cultural heritage while respecting the cultural heritage of others. |
