About the Authors

Christina Lochmann and Soo-Young Chin are partners in World of Pop, a venture to create new and interesting pop up books for both children and adults.

Christina is a graphic artist. She still has a day job but hopes to support herself fully with her art. She immigrated from Switzerland in 1991. She lives in "the shack" in Redondo Beach, California with her husband Klemmens—a very good cook, and their two dogs, Shaka and Zulu.

Soo-Young Chin is an anthropologist who teaches at the University of Southern California. She also volunteers at the Korean American Museum. She enjoys working in cultural production with children and adults. Soo-Young immigrated from Korea via Thailand, in 1985. She is a "sunset gardener" who tends to her orchids and succulents in Echo Park.
