About the Illustrator
Carolina Yao has illustrated Char Siu Bao Boy and Bon Odori Dancer, a book that was a Parent Council Selection. Born in Madrid, Spain, Carolina studied Fashion Design and Fine Arts at the University of Madrid and pursued a career in fashion and commercial art. On a trip to Taiwan, she moved into academia and, since then, has been involved in various projects involving learning multimedia for Chinese children living overseas. She moved to the United States in 1992. She currently resides in Los Angeles, with her daughter, Natalia, and enjoys creating all kinds of art, especially drawing for children. |
